Affiliate disclosure
Last updated
PetCoverPro participates in affiliate marketing programmes operated by UK pet insurers and by affiliate networks including AWIN and Optimise Media.
What this means
When you click a link on this site and go on to buy a policy from a pet insurer, PetCoverPro may receive a commission from that insurer or from the affiliate network. The commission is paid by the insurer. Your premium is exactly the same whether you reach the insurer through PetCoverPro or visit them directly.
Editorial independence
Affiliate commission rates do not influence how we score or rank brands. Our scoring methodology is published in full at how we test. A brand that pays a higher commission but is a worse fit for most owners will not get a higher score from us. A brand that does not run an affiliate programme at all may still be reviewed and recommended where appropriate.
Identifying affiliate links
Outbound links to insurers from review pages and comparison tables are generally affiliate links. They are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" attributes in line with search-engine guidance, and they route through a tracked redirect on our own domain (URLs starting with /go/).
What we never do
- We do not publish sponsored articles inside the editorial.
- We do not sell your personal details to insurers or to lead-generation networks.
- We do not let an insurer pre-approve a review before it goes live.
- We do not change a score because an insurer raised or lowered their commission rate.
